The job role:

As a CNC Machining Engineer, you’ll be responsible for setting up, operating, and programming CNC lathes, particularly Spinner and Doosan machines. You’ll optimise CNC programmes, monitor production processes, and ensure all parts meet strict quality standards. You’ll also carry out routine maintenance and repair work, contributing to smooth, efficient, and precise manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Setting up and operating CNC lathes (especially Spinner and Doosan).
  • Programming and optimising CNC programmes.
  • Monitoring and controlling manufacturing processes.
  • Carrying out maintenance and repair work.
  • Quality control of manufactured parts.

Requirements:

  • Completed training as a cutting machine operator or comparable qualification.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in setting up and operating CNC lathes.
  • Experience with Spinner and Doosan lathes is an advantage.
  • Confident use of Siemens 810D, Fanuc 18i tb and 31i b controls.
  • Knowledge of robot programming (Fanuc) is desirable.
  • Willing and able to work early and late shifts.
  • A reliable team player able to work with others and independently.
