The job role:

As a Heat Treatment Operator, you’ll be responsible for running our modern heat treatment plant and ensuring every process, hardening, tempering, and annealing, is carried out precisely to specification. You’ll monitor key parameters, perform quality and hardness checks, document results, and handle minor maintenance tasks. Working closely with your team, you’ll help maintain high safety and quality standards while driving continuous improvement in production.

Key responsibilities: 

• Act as the helmsman of our modern heat treatment plant.
• Carry out hardening, tempering, annealing processes precisely and under control according to specifications.
• Monitor and document parameters (temperatures, times, atmosphere).
• Check the hardness of the products to ensure high quality production outcomes. 
• Carry out simple maintenance work and fix minor malfunctions.
• Ensure safety and quality at all times. 
• Work closely with colleagues to continuously improve our production.

Requirements:

• Completed technical training, e.g. as an industrial or process mechanic or in the metal sector.
• Experience operating heat treatment plants, preferably in a hardening or tempering shop.
• Good technical understanding and familiarity of complex machines.
• Quality awareness.
• Willing and able to work early and late shifts. 
• A reliable team player able to work with others and independently.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office is a plus.
