Award #5 – Special Recognition
Special Recognition Awards
Alongside the main categories, a number of individuals and teams were recognised for their contribution across resilience, performance, and community impact.
Resilience & Results
Jean-Yves Claudon was recognised for maintaining strong site performance during a period of expansion and ERP implementation. Christian Scheck was recognised for his achievements at BCD/ENI, particularly in strengthening the S&OP process.
Community Spirit
The CTL Charity Committee was recognised for raising £2,700 for charity, led by Natalie Orrell, Julie Tarn, Chloe Duncan, Damon Storey and Sara Baker, with support from Scott Marston and Karl Walker.

Resilience
Michael Sho’s recognition as this year’s “Winner’s Winner” reflects a year defined by determination, persistence and consistent support from across the business.
Following a serious accident in early 2025, Michael spent several months in hospital. Throughout his recovery, he remained closely supported by the team, with regular contact from leadership and clear reassurance that his place in the business was secure.
Reflecting on his experience, Michael shared:
“Winning this award means a great deal, especially considering the journey I’ve been through. After my accident, I spent close to three months in the hospital, and the support I received from my team and the wider CTB Group was truly overwhelming. What I’m most grateful for is being part of a company that never gave up on me. My role was adapted so that I could return to work and continue to make a living with dignity, and there would always be a colleague nearby in case I needed help. That level of support is something I will never forget, and I’m proud to be contributing again — and proud to be part of a company that truly lives its values.”
That support continued well beyond his return, with colleagues helping him rebuild confidence day by day.
Today, Michael is still on his recovery journey — not yet fully recovered, but stronger and more confident with each step. The experience has stayed with him, as has the care he received, and it continues to shape how he looks ahead.
Recognising the People Behind the Performance
These awards highlight the depth of expertise and commitment across the CTB Group, reflected in both individual contributions and the way teams operate day to day.
Across sites and functions, the common thread is a focus on doing the fundamentals well: maintaining high standards in safety and quality, delivering consistently for customers and building the internal structure needed to support growth.
From large-scale project delivery to incremental improvements in how the business runs, this year’s winners reflect the range of contributions required to keep performance moving forward.
As CTB continues to grow across markets and regions, that consistency - in how teams work, collaborate and deliver - will remain critical to sustaining progress across the group.
