As production volumes increase across industrial markets, manufacturers face a familiar challenge: expanding capacity without compromising quality, traceability or delivery performance.
The global diesel engines market is projected to grow from $223.98 billion in 2026 to $310.98 billion by 2033, reflecting continued demand across industrial and power generation applications. As demand increases, manufacturers are under growing pressure to expand output while maintaining the standards expected in safety-critical environments.
To support increasing customer requirements, CTB Group is expanding manufacturing capacity in Germany through a strategic programme focused on people, processes and equipment. The company is strengthening long-term capability through enhanced machining, workforce development and process improvements, while maintaining the quality, reliability and consistency customers depend on.
Investing in production capability
At the Ennepetal site, sustained demand from key customers in the stationary diesel engines sector, alongside rising order volumes across multiple international markets, is driving the need for increased output.
To ensure manufacturing keeps pace, the site now has new Takamaz machinery to strengthen machining capability for high-precision components. The equipment will increase flexibility and efficiency while also supporting the phased replacement of older machinery across the line.
Alongside equipment investment, the Group is strengthening workforce capability through strategic hiring, targeted skills development and specialised training. Established safety protocols also remain a key focus as production volumes increase.

Maintaining quality at scale
Across industrial manufacturing, regulatory expectations are increasing around product documentation, traceability and quality assurance. New requirements under the EU Machinery Regulation will introduce additional obligations relating to conformity assessment, technical documentation and supply chain evidence from 2027.
As these requirements become more demanding and production volumes increase, maintaining quality and consistency becomes even more important. For organisations operating in safety-critical applications, product performance, traceability and compliance are essential.
At Ennepetal, CTB supports this through established process controls, standardised procedures and continuous monitoring. Training and quality assurance measures are regularly reviewed and reinforced to maintain consistent manufacturing standards.
This structured approach enables the site to increase manufacturing output while continuing to meet quality expectations and delivery requirements.
Strengthening long-term capability
This expansion reflects CTB's commitment to supporting customers as production requirements continue to evolve.
By investing in people, equipment and processes, the site is strengthening its ability to deliver the consistency and dependability expected from a trusted manufacturing partner.
As the market expands, these improvements ensure CTB is well positioned to support long-term growth while maintaining the high standards required across safety-critical applications.
