The Job Role

As a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator, you will support the efficient and accurate manufacture of components within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will program, set, and operate CNC machinery to produce parts in line with customer drawings and specifications, maintaining tight tolerances and high quality standards. The role contributes to the operational effectiveness and strategic objectives of CTB Group, while acting in alignment with the company values of Safety, Team Work, Accountability, Respect, and Trust (START).

Key Responsibilities

• The duties listed below are not in order of priority or importance and are not intended to restrict or prioritise the activities of the working day.
• Program CNC machinery.
• Ensure S.T.A.R.T. values are adhered to at all times.
• Operate CNC machines with Fanuc controls.
• Work to customer drawings and specifications with minimal supervision following training.
• Maintain tight tolerances and check your own work to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Use your own initiative and maintain a good understanding of the manufacturing processes.
• Report any tooling requirements to your Supervisor.
• Prove out programs at the machine, ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area.
• Complete training programmes deemed necessary to support the efficient performance of duties and personal development.
• Take a responsible approach to health, safety, and environmental risks within your role, controlling risks where possible or reporting them to management as appropriate.
• Carry out any other duties as required, commensurate with the position.
