The Job Role
In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC machinery to manufacture components in line with customer drawings, specifications and quality requirements. You will ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency. This role contributes to the operational effectiveness and strategic objectives of CTB Group, while acting in alignment with the company values of Safety, Team Work, Accountability, Respect, and Trust (START).
Key Responsibilities
The duties listed below are not in order of priority or importance and are not intended to restrict or prioritise the activities of the working day.
- Programme CNC machinery
- Ensure S.T.A.R.T values are adhered to
- Operate CNC machines with Fanuc controls
- Work to customer drawings and specifications with the minimum of supervision following training
- Work to tight tolerances and carry out self-inspection to ensure quality standards are met
- Work on your own initiative and demonstrate an understanding of the manufacturing processes
- Report any tooling requirements to the Supervisor
- Prove out programmes at the machine, ensuring the highest quality is maintained at all times
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area
- Fulfil any training programmes deemed necessary to support the efficient performance of duties and your ongoing personal development
- Take a responsible approach to health, safety and environmental risks associated with your job role, controlling risks where possible and reporting any concerns to management as appropriate
- Undertake any other duties as required, commensurate with the job position
