The Job Role

In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating threading machinery to produce quality products to specification, meet production targets and support a safe, productive and continuously improving working environment. This role contributes to the operational effectiveness and strategic objectives of CTB Group, while acting in alignment with the company values of Safety, Team Work, Accountability, Respect, and Trust (START).

Main Duties

The duties listed below are not in any order of priority or importance and are not intended to restrict or limit the activities of the working day.

  • Operate threading machines and associated equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure equipment is used correctly to achieve maximum utilisation and productivity.
  • Produce components and products to customer drawings, specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform routine checks to ensure product conformity and machine performance.
  • Report any machine faults, quality concerns or production issues to the Setter, Supervisor or Team Leader.
  • Support the achievement of daily production targets and delivery deadlines.
  • Follow all documented work instructions, quality procedures and standard operating practices.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in line with 5S and company expectations.
  • Ensure all health and safety requirements are followed at all times.
  • Wear and maintain the required PPE for the role.
  • Identify hazards and unsafe conditions and report them promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, start times, finish times and break schedules.
  • Assist with material handling, packing and general production duties as required.
  • Complete production and quality records accurately where required.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience operating threading machines or similar production equipment.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and inspection processes.
  • Forklift Truck licence (if applicable).
