The job role
As a Quality Control Supervisor, you will manage and prioritise all inspection department activities while leading product development and certification projects that meet customer technical requirements. You will support product quality, drive technical improvement across the group, and uphold CTB’s START values — Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Respect and Trust.
Key Responsibilities
The duties listed below are not in order of priority or importance and are not intended to restrict or prioritise the activities of the working day:
- Supervision of inspection, marking and hardness department’s daily work schedule to ensure OTD is met efficiently reporting to the Quality Control Manager on issues raised.
- Provide first off inspection of products.
- Carry out 100% inspection of critical parts.
- Liaise with the Quality Control Manager for calibration of all gauges within Beck Prosper.
- Maintain monthly calibration status and inspection records.
- Provide guidance on thread fits and machining tolerances to section Supervisors/Engineering Manager.
- Complete 8D report analysis with regard to investigation root cause analysis for all Complaints/NCRs.
- Fulfil training programmes deemed necessary to allow efficient performance of duties and assist in your personal development
- Take a responsible approach to health, safety and environmental risks in relation to your own job role and to control the risks or report them to management as appropriate.
- Any other duties as required, commensurate with the job position.

- Inspection/Calibration records.
- Root cause Complaint/Internal NCR 8D reporting.
- Provide back up and guidance.
