Job role
Play a key role in supporting business performance while embracing our company values (START: Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Respect, Trust). You will be responsible for accurately measuring and tagging studs using RFID technology, capturing precise data, and ensuring its integrity. This role is vital in maintaining full traceability, supporting inventory management, and driving quality control, helping the business operate efficiently and reliably.
Key responsibilities
RFID Tagging (when required):
- Correctly attach RFID tags to studs according to established procedures.
- Ensure tags are securely affixed and positioned for optimal reading.
Stud Measurement:
- Operate handheld or stationary RFID readers to capture stud dimensions (length).
- Verify the accuracy of readings and troubleshoot any discrepancies.
- Record measurements in a digital database.
Data Management:
- Organize and manage collected data, ensuring accuracy, completeness and 100% traceability.
- Transfer data to relevant systems or databases for inventory tracking, quality control, or other purposes.
- Generate reports or summaries of stud measurements as required.
Quality Control:
- Identify and report any discrepancies in stud dimensions or RFID tag functionality.
- Assist in investigating and resolving quality issues related to stud measurements.
Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain RFID readers and other equipment in good working order.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
- Ensure calibration protocols are being followed.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols on the construction site.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Other:
- During quiet periods you may be asked to work in other departments or to carry out other duties for which you are deemed capable by senior management
